revalyu Recycling (India) Announces 200 tonnes per day Chemical PET Recycling Plant
revalyu Recycling (India) Limited is proud to announce the start of construction of a 200-tonne-per-day PET plastic recycling plant. This plant will be based on an existing proven and fully commercialised Chemical Recycling technology already in operation at its existing manufacturing plant based in Nashik, India. This new plant will significantly increase the company’s capacity to recycle used plastic bottles and help to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the environment.
“As a company, we are committed to finding sustainable solutions to the growing need for recycled plastic and we have successfully proven that Chemical Recycling of PET has significant advantages over legacy mechanical recycling processes,” said Mr Makarand Kulkarni CEO of revalyu Recycling (India). “The new plant will also create a substantial number of jobs in the local community and we thank everyone for their support in the granting of all the necessary permits and licenses for us to start the construction.”
The new plant will also be located in Nashik, India and is expected to be operational within 12 months. It will use state-of-the-art Chemical Recycling technology to recycle used plastic bottles into high-quality sustainable polyester polymer (ester), rPET chips and filament yarns.
“The construction of this modern Chemical PET recycling plant is a significant step towards our commitment to continue to drive production costs down through scale and the use of breakthrough technologies to produce the world’s highest quality recycled PET polymers” said Dr Vivek Tandon, Founder of revalyu .

About revalyu Recycling India and revalyu Resources GmbH
revalyu Recycling India (a subsidiary of parent company revalyu Resources GmbH) was formed to build and commercialize the world’s first breakthrough chemical full glycolysis recycling plant in Nashik, India. Used PET bottles are first converted into sustainable monomers and then filtered to remove all impurities before being re-polymerized. The result is a very pure sustainable PET polymer (ester) which can be used to directly replace PET polymers produced from petrochemicals.
The revalyu group of companies currently employs over 300 people and sells recycled rPET Chips and filament yarns to over 60 repeats customers in over 15 countries. In 2022 the Heraeus Group, a family-owned global Fortune 500 technology company from Germany acquired a majority stake in revalyu Resources and is supporting the company’s expansion plans.
